When I installed Apple's MacOS Mojave, it slowed my formerly reliable MacBook Air to a crawl. My computer, released in 2015, has 4GB RAM, an i5 processor, and a Broadcom 4360 wireless card, but Mojave proved too much for my daily driver—it made working with GnuCash impossible, and it whetted my appetite to return to Linux. I am glad I did, but I felt bad that I had this perfectly good. The iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook, and MacBook Pro had moved to an Intel-based architecture starting in January 2006, leaving the Power Mac G5 as the only machine in the Mac lineup still based on the PowerPC processor architecture Apple had used since 1994. Apple had dropped the term 'Power' from the other machines in their lineup and started using. 2011 Macbook Pro (w/ disabled “bad” secondary video) 16g memory Host system Mint Linux Guest Mojave. Okay, Mojave gets to list of countries, invites me to enter one. Except (as the above indicates) my macbook touchpad isn’t registering as “the mouse.” I know it works, because I installed a High Sierra VDMK and had joy.

Quietly unveiled without a press release, the MacBook Pro 'Core i7' 2.2 15-Inch (Late 2011) features a 32 nm 'Sandy Bridge' 2.2 GHz Intel 'Core i7' processor (2675QM), with four independent processor 'cores' on a single silicon chip, a 6 MB shared level 3 cache, 4 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-10600) installed in pairs (two 2 GB modules), a 500 GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM) hard drive, an 8X DL 'SuperDrive', dual graphics processors -- an AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512 MB of dedicated GDDR5 memory and an Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics processor that shares 384 MB of memory with the system -- and an integrated FaceTime HD webcam.
The standard configuration of this model has an LED-backlit 15.4' widescreen TFT active-matrix 'glossy' display (1440x900 native resolution), but it also was available via custom configuration with a 'high-resolution glossy' 1680x1050 display and a 'high-resolution antiglare' 1680x1050 display for an additional US$100 and US$150, respectively.
Connectivity includes AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Gigabit Ethernet, a Firewire '800' port, two USB 2.0 ports, separate audio in and out ports, an SDXC card slot, and a 'Thunderbolt' port that is backwards compatible with Mini DisplayPort and, likewise, supports an external display at 2560x1600 and passes an audio signal. Thunderbolt also supports other peripherals that use the Thunderbolt standard which provides up to 10 Gbps of bandwidth in both directions.
This model uses a 'Unibody' aluminum case design -- milled from a single piece of aluminum -- and has a backlit keyboard, a 'no button' glass 'inertial' multi-touch trackpad, and a non-swappable battery design that provides an Apple estimated 7 hours of battery life.
Compared to its predecessor, this model is identical except for a faster processor and superior graphics.

The macOS Mojave was the fifteenth release from Apple for their macOS family and was made available to the public on the 24th of September in 2018. The macOS Mojave 10.14.1 (the updated version) was released on the 30th of October of the same year with a couple of new updates.
It succeeded Mac OS High Sierra 10.13 which was released on the 25th of September in 2017 and was preceded by the macOS Catalina 10.15 which was released on the 7th of October in 2019. This macOS is known to be the last one developed by Apple to support 32-bit applications as macOS Catalina only supports 64-bit applications.

There were a large number of new features and additions introduced in macOS Mojave that made it successful. In particular, Dark Mode, Stacks and the improved App Store received fine praise. Additions to the Finder and Screenshot features helped improve their ability to serve the needs of the users greatly. The focus on strong security for the user’s information was also viewed favourably.
At the same time, the macOS received criticism for its beta performance issues. Not all the features implemented on the system were completely developed either. Despite these shortcomings, macOS Mojave was seen as a powerful step forward for Apple towards its future products.
Productive Features of macOS Mojave 10.14.1
Here are some of the features that were introduced in Mojave and some of the pre-existing ones that have been reworked:
- Finder Quick Actions- This is a useful feature that will allow users to create a PDF or rotate an image without the use of an app. The user can explore the kind of actions that they can perform by checking out the Quick Actions menu.
- Finder Preview Panel- Like before,this feature allows the user to have a small glance into a document or an image without actually opening it. Additionally, users will now be able to be aware of details about the document or images such as the date of document creation or the kind of lens used for taking a photo.
- Quick Look- A pre-existing app on macOS Sierra, Quick Look allows users to see files, folders or photos without even opening them. With the new Markup feature, photos and PDFs can now be cropped or rotated. Text can also be added to them.

The mode makes it easier to read text on the screen if there is good contrast between the screen and what the user is reading. Using Dark Mode can also help save battery life.
- Continuity Camera- If the user’s Mac and iOS devices are in close proximity to each other and both have their Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on, this feature can be used.
